Style Check in iA Writer

I’ve been using iA Writer as my primary writing tool for over a year now. I find it has the right balance of features and cost for my needs.

The latest version has added a Style Check option. Once enabled, iA Writer will strike out words that it considers to be fillers, cliches or redundant. There’s no fanfare, and it doesn’t get in-your-face about it. But it’s a nice visual cue for me to re-read and reconsider the wording I use.

I’ll keep Hemingway Editor around as an edit-pass tool, because it excels at showing me where I’ve made my writing more convoluted than it needs to be.
