Not a surprise to me, I figured this out myself a few years ago. Turned out I mainly needed to unsubscribe from lots of emails I didn’t need, and reduce the frequency of those that weren’t from actual people. (MailMate on the Mac helps me automate the handling of things like receipts and billing statements, but I could do that manually myself from just about any email client if I had to.)
