Use Plaintext Email

I came across this resource page a few weeks ago, which reminded me that the first Internet email clients I used were Pegasus Mail and Forté Agent, way back in the 1990s. Much simpler times, and I’ve sent emails as plaintext — or bare minimum HTML — for as long as I can remember.

I don’t have any deep hatred of HTML email, my dislike for it stems from the fact that I’ll periodically receive messages that either don’t display properly, usually manifesting as sections not respecting the width of the display window, or are hard to read through poor text sizing or use of images instead of text. Oh, and the need to weed out trackers.
