Life After Jetpack

One of my worries after disconnecting and removing WordPress’s Jetpack from this blog was that I’d get hit with more comment spam. But so far, they’ve been few and far between.

Still, the email notifications that a spam comment was in the moderation queue niggled me when they did show up. So, I’ve opted to turn off such emails and just log in periodically to deal with them.

This won’t have much effect on the occasional genuine comments from fellow humans, aside from a slight delay in their message appearing here.

As for site statistics, frankly I’m not that bothered about them, so no great loss for me.
