New Year New Apps? Not so Fast.

Start 2021 off right. No new apps until you figure out what problems you need to solve.

Good advice from Matt Birchler, and something I’ve been practising over the last year.

2020 was a terrible year for so many reasons, and I know all of us are anxious to start what feels like it’s going to be a truly different year. So, before you go off and start looking for new things to buy, first consider what problems you are actually solving for first. Maybe you can solve it with something new, but often you are able to use what you already have better.

I switched back to using the Calendar and Reminders apps on macOS and i(Pad)OS, for instance, and it turns out that they cover most of the things I need to remember to do.
