Yahoo Groups to be put out of its misery by Verizon

Another footnote in the long history of Yahoo will have its life-support switched off on 15th December.

I have fond memories of Yahoo Groups from the early 2000s onward, but the writing has been on the wall for a long time.

Of the four recommended alternatives that Yahoo suggests, the first three are silos, which says a lot about the state of the Internet today compared to twenty years ago.
