Man Down!
Update: it was a temporary glitch, thankfully.
Some time within the last few weeks, the website of Riccardo Mori vanished, and the domain morrick.me now redirects to the site of an engineering company, United Consulting.
According to the Internet Archive, his last blog post was on April 7th this year.
While I don’t know him socially, I’ve always enjoyed Riccardo’s writing. I hope he is OK.
Several of my blog posts have linked to stuff that he has written in the past, as the Broken Link Checker plugin for WordPress informs me. That plugin helpfully provided me with replacement links to the Internet Archive for all those posts bar one, which the Archive informs me it never captured.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time I’ve discovered a website that I’ve linked to in the past has shut down. Wherever possible, I’ve updated those links to point to the Internet Archive’s copy. It’s why I support their work with a small monthly donation — their continuing work to ensure that the treasures of the web aren’t lost is much appreciated!
I’m reaching out to Riccardo via email, and will update this post if I get a response.
