Into the fog: How Britain lost track of the coronavirus
Reading this investigation by Reuters into how COVID-19 has been handled in the UK — and England in particular — fills me with both rage and despair.
Incompetence piled atop arrogance, piled atop secrecy and ass-covering.
Sigh.
If there’s any bright spot to draw from this report, it’s that we can slow the spread of the virus. But we’re going to have to do it ourselves, because the UK government doesn’t seem interested in doing so, and in some cases is actively hampering the work of others.
