The Blame Game: Hollywood Chrome Edition

Last Week on My Mac: Hollywood’s Lesson

Howard Oakley rightly points out that System Integrity Protection (SIP) was introduced to macOS for a reason, and if you have to disable it, you should treat that Mac as special and not for general use.

The blame is not Apple’s, in this case, or the people whose systems were affected (though they should probably reconsider how those systems are used.)

Frankly, Google needs to explain how this destructive bug made it through their testing and QA system prior to release, and make damn sure it doesn’t happen again.
