On Being An Introvert
A couple of years ago, I took one of those Myers-Briggs personality tests, and came up as INFJ. Cue lightbulb moment, as a lot of stuff in my life and the way I live it suddenly started to make sense. I’d known I was an introvert since my 20s, but I’d never clocked that there was more than one kind of introvert.
Since then, I’ve done more research and found ways to cope with my introversion and high sensitivity. Some of that has also fed into my strategies for handling my high-functioning autism.
As I move through middle life, it’s only now that I’m truly starting to know myself.
