How the MacBook’s keyboard fiasco has reshuffled my whole upgrade path

Riccardo Mori’s post about what devices he’s now using and why emphasises something I’ve felt for a long time. I’d rather have something that a) meets my needs, and b) will do so for years, than regularly jump to the latest thing out of some belief that doing so will make my life better.

Case in point: my 2017 iMac, iPad Mini 4 and iPhone SE. Each serve their purpose, and do so admirably. If and when any of them either break or are no longer up to the tasks I require them to perform, then I’ll consider replacements.
