This blog post gave me the impetus I needed to stop looking for The Perfect System and focus on Just Creating Stuff Every Day. 🙂

Related to my previous post, I realised that MarsEdit on Mac, while a fine product, just wasn’t a good fit for me any more. So instead I’m using the Micro.blog apps to post and share here, the WordPress.com apps for my other blogs, and plain text editors for writing drafts.

I think this is why I found @patrickrhone ’s Minimal Mac resonated so much with me. Instead of starting with the tool (app, service, device, whatever), start with the desired goal, and choose the tools that best help you achieve it.

This makes me sad.

I had a problem with Audio Hijack the other day—the Broadcast block wasn’t picking up song info from iTunes. I sent a support ticket to Rogue Amoeba last night, they got back to me today, hooked me up with development build, problem solved. That’s customer service. 🙂
