Tape collection digitisation is go! (Again)
A recurring problem I’m having with Safari on macOS Mojave—tags that I apply when manually downloading files don’t always get applied. It’s annoying because I use those in conjunction with the excellent utility Hazel to automate management of my downloads.
One side-effect of using Freedom to block social media sites for most of the day is the way that it renders articles that lean heavily on content from those places. All of said content disappears, leaving article very much talking about nothing. Truth revealed.
New version of CleanMyMac came out, and it now uses a high contrast theme if you’re using Accessibility in System Preferences to increase contrast. MacPaw have gone up in my estimation as a result. 🙂
I had a problem with Audio Hijack the other day—the Broadcast block wasn’t picking up song info from iTunes. I sent a support ticket to Rogue Amoeba last night, they got back to me today, hooked me up with development build, problem solved. That’s customer service. 🙂
I’ve been using Mac utilities like Hazel, Keyboard Maestro, Typinator and others for a while now to automate various things. But this year I’ve decided to learn how to use the built-in tools like Automator and AppleScript to extend and improve on what I can achieve.
I only just discovered that I can set my own timer for Brainwave Studio. The pomodoro timer that I’ll actually use has been under my nose all this time. Derp!
I’ve had Brainwave Studio for Mac for a while, and usually use it to help me relax. But the last few days, I’ve tried using it to help me do sessions of work at the computer. I’ve not had that level of focus and flow in ages.
